River, a very sweet 8 year old Husky x, came into care with Happy Tails Animal Rescue after her former family was facing homelessness and couldn't give her the life she deserved.
After settling in with Happy Tails they noticed that she started limping on one of her back legs and it was only getting worse. They reached out to the team at Bondi Vet for help to take a better look so they could start the journey to find River her new family.

We spoke to Sally from Happy Tails Animal Rescue and she had this to say:
"River is recovering well, going on short walks to the end of the street and back with her carer and putting weight back on her leg. She's due to go for a follow up x-ray next week.
Her carers David and Yvonne have been amazing, following all the advice from the vets and treating River as their own. She's had all the love and care that she needs to get through recovery.
Once the vet gives the all clear, she will be looking for a forever home to spoil her for the rest of her days.
