Racing 2 Rehome Greyhound Adoption

Racing2Rehome is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation operating in Victoria, Australia to rehome greyhounds as pets. All of our greyhounds are fostered in a home until they are adopted by you, to better prepare them for pet life in their forever home.

Adoption Policy: Strict

Please understand that most of the R2R greyhounds receive multiple applications. Step 1 - Complete an R2R Online Application https://www.racing2rehome.org/application-form Step 2 – If your circumstances appear to suit a greyhound, one of our volunteers will contact you to provide more information and answer any questions you may have. If you wish to proceed we will arrange a time for a Meet & Greet with the greyhound and conduct a home yard inspection to ensure adequate fencing and shelter is provided for the dog. Step 3 - A meet and greet will be held with your family and any other pets you may have. All dogs are to be met in person. Step 4 - If all parties are happy to proceed with the adoption, the adoption fee is paid and you will have a 14 day trial period from when you pick up the greyhound. If at any time in that 14 days you find the greyhound is not suitable, the dog may be returned and the adoption fee will be refunded less an admin fee. At the time of adoption you will receive an adoption pack which will include: - Collar & Lead - Muzzle - Warm Polar Fleece Coat - Certificate of Sterilisation - Certificate of Vaccination - Information on caring for your greyhound - Worming & Flea treatment dates - Access to our private Facebook page for Adopters of R2R greyhounds.
