Dog Rescue Newcastle

We are a group of people, just like you, who love animals. We have decided to do something about the disgraceful number of dogs and cats who are euthanased daily right here in our local pounds. We are based in Newcastle but we rescue dogs from all over eastern NSW including Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Taree, and Mudgee. All of our pets are in loving foster homes while they are waiting to be adopted. Once we accept a dog into foster care we keep the dog for as long as it takes to find him or her a home. This can take weeks or many, many months. We are fundraising to fit out our newly acquired kennel facility.

Adoption Policy: Moderate

The first step is to look at the profiles of our available dogs and find one or more that you might want to adopt. Fill out our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt It will be reviewed by the foster carer so please be as detailed as possible. If you would like more information or have any questions about the dog you're applying for the foster carer's email is in the profile above. The total process is: - Fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. - If approved, we will do a home yard check. - You come to meet your new best mate. - Sign the adoption paperwork, pay the adoption fee then take home your new companion. We follow this process to make sure the best fit for our dogs and the people adopting them, this process can be cancelled at any point by the foster carer. Please allow 3- 5 business days for a response on all applications as we are all volunteers and will be in touch ASAP.
