Sydney Animal Second-chance Inc. is a registered charity dedicated to finding abandoned and surrendered dogs a brand new home. We are a team of friendly and helpful volunteers and you too could help us by being a foster parent until a new permanent home is found for your foster dog. We welcome foster carers from all areas of Sydney however, our rescue vets are located in the Beverly Hills and northern beaches area of Sydney. Each dog is giving a full vet check, desexed, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested, microchipped and also has any other vet work that the individual dog needs done ie dentals, xrays, dew claws removed, tumour removal etc. All of our dogs are on regularly worming and flea and heartworm treatment (and on tick treatment if they are in foster care in a tick area) Our rescue group is a not for profit incorporation (CFN 21496) and all donations over $2 are tax deductible. Adoption Policy: Strict

We ask potential adopters to send us an email regarding the dog that they are interested in adopting with some basic information about yourself, your home environment, other pets and your lifestyle to so that we can see if you are both a good match. If SAS believes you would be a good match, we will then arrange for you to speak to the dog's foster carer and a meet and greet can be arranged after this point if both you and foster carer still believe that the dog is a good match for you. We offer a two week trial period if after the meet and greet the dog goes on trial with you. A short home visit will be done (where possible) before the dog begins his or her trial with you.
